Inside Polarisation

Conflict Matters in Cluj

What is the difference between conflict and polarisation? What are the three laws, five roles and four game changers in the dynamics of polarisation? How shall we intervene?

These questions we were exploring last week at our Conflict Matters event in Cluj-Napoca (Romania) – during the lecture and the training workshop delivered by Bart Brandsma and Mariken Gaanderse from Inside Polarisation.

Together with local and international participants of the training – mediators, scholars, teachers, peace educators and NGO activists – we were working on better understanding of the polarisation model, creating strategies to depolarise tensions we deal with in our professional lives and improving our mediative speech skills.

The event was co-organised with the Center for International Studies (CSI) and the Conflict Studies Center (CSC) at the Faculty of Political, Administrative and Communication Sciences (FSPAC) at Babeș-Bolyai University.
